ELECTICAL and ALARM WIRES: Air Conditioning, Electrical, Telephone, and Security
wires should not be installed directly under the decking or
over the rafters. If you are aware of any of these that are
please let us know. We can not be held responsible for the
puncture of improperly installed lines or lines within three
inches of the roof deck.

ATTIC STORED ITEMS: Royal Roofing will cover stored items upon request. Please remove any valuables if necessary.
ACCESS TO YOUR HOME: We will need one side of your driveway clear for the placement of your roofing materials. During the installation of your new roof we will need access on both sides of your driveway for our trucks. We ask that if possible you keep cars, boats, and trailers away from this area during installation. If exterior plugs are not available please run an extension cord through a window or door for us to use.
NOISE: Roofing your home can be a noisy process. Be prepared for the sound of hammering and banging for two or more days, depending upon the size of your roof.
VIBRATION AND DUST: During the roofing process you will hear and sometimes feel the vibration of several workmen on your roof transporting roofing materials, hammering, sawing and tearing off the old shingles.
ANTENNAS: We will remove and re-install antennas, if you wish we will haul off the old antenna. Please just let us know in advance.
LIGHT FIXTURES, MIRRORS AND PICTURES: These items can fall do to the vibration of the hammering during the installation process of your new roof. Please take the time to make sure that these items are secured if you are in doubt your sales representative will be happy to advise you.
TEAR OFF: When it is necessary to remove your existing roof some of the roof debris will more than likely fall through the laths and decking into your attic. Please remember that some dust may fall down the first time you open your attic ladder. There will be a thorough clean up of your outside perimeter, with a metal roller to pick up any nails and we will do our best to pick up any other debris that may fall into your yard as well.
TREES AND SHRUBS: If there are any trees or shrubs hanging over the roof or hanging close to your roof we will need to trim these back so we can do our job and prevent any damage to your new roof.
FLASHING CHIMNEY: You have counter flashing that is already in the mortar of your chimney. We raise the counter flashing up and put new 4”x 4” step flashing down.
SIDEWALL FLASHING: When a new roof is installed over another roof, new flashings are need at the vertical sidewalls. We put down new 4” x 4” step flashing in all areas of the roof.
SKYLIGHTS: When flashing around your skylight we must remove the dome and some debris may fall into your home. Please take necessary precautions.
SHINGLES: There are two types of shingles sent out to the home. One is a three tab shingle that is used as the starter shingle. The other is the brand and sty of shingle you requested to have put on your home.
SHINGLE COLOR: It is our recommendation that your drive around and look at homes to help you decide on a color of shingle. Look at the brick color and shingle color. Please be aware that after the shingles have delivered and application has begun and you decide that the color does not look as well as you thought you will still be responsible for paying for the labor and material.
FINAL INSPECTIONS: We will ask to meet with you upon the completion of the project to complete our final inspection. Our goal at this point will be to make sure everything has been done to meet all of your expectations. We want to make sure that you are 100% satisfied.
